About

Cole is a Games Writer and Narrative Designer with over four years of professional experience in the video games industry, including both in-house and contract writing roles. He has contributed to titles such as Sniper Elite 5 (Rebellion), Little Hope (Supermassive Games), and several other announced projects across AAA and indie studios.
Cole began his career in game and level design before transitioning into narrative, bringing with him a strong understanding of gameplay systems, pacing, and player experience. He specialises in branching narratives, world-building, dialogue writing, and emotionally rich character development.
He holds a Master’s degree in Game Design from the University of South Wales, where he focused on systems-based storytelling, interactive narrative structures, and player agency. His academic background underpins his practical work, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
In addition to his formal education, Cole completed the ELVTR Games Writing course, sharpening his skills in non-linear storytelling and dialogue systems. He was also selected for the Wales Interactive Workshop for Interactive Writing, where he explored cutting-edge approaches to FMV and interactive narratives.
As part of his branching narrative work, Cole gained hands-on experience with StoryFormer, a narrative tool developed by the BBC, which he used to prototype and structure dynamic interactive stories that respond to player choice while maintaining narrative cohesion.
Alongside his studio work, Cole has taken on contract writing for a range of projects, collaborating with teams on everything from cinematic scripts to narrative systems. He thrives in collaborative environments and adapts quickly to new tools, genres, and development pipelines.
Cole is passionate about crafting stories that not only engage players but evolve with them—bringing depth, meaning, and emotional resonance to every interactive experience.
